Committed SFI Teacher Wanted

Are you a person who is passionate about making a difference in people's lives through education? We are looking for a committed and qualified SFI teacher for our adult education program. The position is temporary until December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension. With us, you will help develop the future of SFI with a focus on shorter study paths and a clear connection to working life.

Within SFI, new requirements are being introduced for initial mapping, and we will also be launching vocationally oriented SFI based on SKUA. The goal is to streamline the SFI education and prepare students for further studies and the job market.

Organizationally, adult education is under the Department of Work, Skills, and Welfare, whose core mission is to provide support and assistance to help people become self-sufficient and live an independent life.

Our premises are located at Brogymnasiet and Tegelslagaregatan 2, both centrally located and just a stone's throw from the Travel Center.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting initial mapping of students within SFI.
• Being responsible for and developing vocationally oriented SFI.
• Teaching students at the SFI level with a focus on language development and connections to working life.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Teaching certification with qualifications for SFI. (required)
• Experience in adult education is an advantage.
• Experience with combined education and working with students at the SFI level is desirable.

As an SFI teacher, you will meet students from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and goals, and you have the ability to create a learning environment where each individual feels seen, safe, and motivated.

You have good pedagogical insight and can adapt teaching to different language levels, learning styles, and needs. We place great importance on personal suitability.
